David Kelley is a financial leader, author, and strategic advisor who is passionate about helping small to mid-sized businesses realize their potential and achieve success by helping unlock their full potential through financial and business strategies.

David serves on both the Board and Advisory Board for SMBs as well as in various governance roles over non-profits. In these roles, he has helped counsel and advise leadership teams on strategic and tactical issues to address both growth and transformation.

David is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Mailprotector, a pioneer in the email security and encryption industry. He is responsible for the company’s financial functions, including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance, and investor relations. He also oversees and manages all operations and administrative areas.

Prior to joining Mailprotector in 2020, David provided CFO advisory and on-demand services to mid-sized companies and technology startups. David also held senior financial leadership roles in both private and public companies, including Fidelity Investments, Cendant Corporation, Eclipse Aerospace, and UNUM.

David is a CPA and received his bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting from Husson University and his master’s degree in Taxation from Seton Hall’s W. Paul Stillman School of Business. He lives in Charleston, SC with his family.
